Back in October, when we first wrote about the newly-opened Cape House, we reported that plans were underway to open the basement music venue, which used to be known as Max Cellar. Well, the wait is finally over. The Cape House basement venue will celebrate its soft opening this Saturday, February 11.

The event promises music from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. provided by a bevvy of DJs including Olive Tonic, DJ Palace, FBI Warning, and Magic Hands Music to name a few. And don’t worry, there is a full bar down there to complement the upstairs offerings.

Owner Dana Gardner tells Bushwick Daily that this month, the venue will be open on Fridays and Saturdays, hosting DJed events with music ranging from “old school techno” to more danceable disco and house music.

Starting in March, the venue will be open every night and some nights will feature live performances. Anyone who wants to get an idea of what is going on down there should consult the Cape House Facebook page for now, but a dedicated events calendar is coming soon.
